The 2019 Retreat has sold out.
Relax, Connect and Create!
Join author and designer Heather Powers for a weekend retreat inspired by nature. This year's inspiration is the Arts and Crafts Movement of the 1880’s-1920’s. The art and design movement celebrated traditional handcrafted artisan work influenced by folk, medieval and natural motifs.
I was inspired by the fusion of Wiilam Morris designs and the faceted beads with a matrix that complimented the line work of his patterns. I’ve paired the two elements with wire and metalwork to create a show-stopping necklace design. Exploring further design ideas for my Faux Tin components, I’ve mixed in a few new tricks to create a series of unique earrings featuring William Morris’ art. Jess and I will co-teach is Rustic Dagger technique on Sunday.
November 15th - 17th
We'll once again gather together in a woodland lodge next to the scenic Black River in South Haven, Michigan. Escape on November 15th to spend three days creating jewelry and exploring a variety of techniques.
We'll soak in the color and sights of autumn as we unwind. The rustic woodland surroundings will be our backdrop as we delve into our creative journey. Make plans to join us now!
The retreat includes three days of classes and supplies, a gift bag with nature themed treats, lodging, breakfast and snacks.
